Boots has unveiled its 2024 festive marketing campaign titled “The Christmas Makeover,” featuring Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh as Mrs. Claus. The campaign showcases Andoh leading her team of beauty elves in her Christmas “Werkshop,” reminding viewers that Boots has gifts for every beauty lover.

Boots’ 2024 festive marketing campaign gives Mrs. Claus a glamorous spotlight as portrayed by Andoh. She is seen in her in a dynamic “werkshop” setting, complete with a dramatic outfit change and a touch of No7 lipstick, as reported by Boots.

As Santa Claus sleeps, Mrs. Claus leads the charge in fulfilling Christmas wish lists with a range of exciting and unexpected beauty gifts from Boots, promising to delight both gift-givers and recipients.

Andoh is seen in her vibrant “werkshop” preparing sought-after beauty gifts with her team of beauty elves. The campaign features popular brands like Bubble, e.l.f, Sol de Janeiro, and Laneige, with a wide array of gifts to suit all styles, from vamp to glam.

The advert concludes with Mrs. Claus proudly reflecting on her efforts, playfully remarking, “You thought it was all him?” celebrating the magic that women also add to Christmas.

Andoh was chosen for the campaign because she embodies charisma, confidence, and elegance. The film marks her first Christmas advert, where she aligns with Mrs. Claus’ qualities of being  a strong and classy persona.

The campaign also features beauty influencers @soph and @snatchedbywill, who assist Mrs. Claus as ‘elf-fluencers,’ testing Boots’ beauty products.

Speaking about her experience filming the campaign the Ghanaian-British star said: “How beauty can make you feel and how it shapes your identity is very important to me, so when Boots asked me to be a part of their festive campaign and play the vital and often under-valued role of Mrs. Claus, I was thrilled.”

“The creative brilliantly shows how beauty can help us feel empowered and fabulous. It can lift your spirits in minutes. I like to keep things simple, but quality is important to me, and Boots can offer that to every shopper at every budget.”

Pete Markey, Chief Marketing Officer at Boots said: “As the UK’s favourite beauty retailer1, we are on a mission to spread magic and excitement to beauty enthusiasts this Christmas, whilst also recognising the unsung powerhouses who make Christmas so special.”

“This advert is the perfect culmination of both, and I cannot wait to see the reaction and help gift-givers find the perfect gift this Christmas.”

“In the past 12 months – our 175th anniversary year – we have expanded our beauty offering even further by launching another 55 new beauty brands, including some of the biggest names in beauty such as Prada Beauty, Made by Mitchell and Supergoop! With 1,300 gifts to choose from and over 160 of the hottest trending brands, we want to wow you and your loved ones this Christmas.”
