Two social media influencers luckily escaped what could have been a near-tragic incident while they were tasting food at a restaurant in Houston, Texas.
Per E! Online, the food influencers, identified as Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood, were videoing themselves tasting an array of food when an SUV plowed into them after ramming into the restaurant’s window.
In the video posted on Instagram, Santiago and Blackwood are seen munching on a slider sandwich seconds before the vehicle plows into their table and scatters the food. The impact shatters the window, and several glass fragments are seen flying in the air. The impact seemingly leaves Santiago on the floor, while a visibly confused Blackwood quickly gets up from where he’s sitting.

The cause of the crash could not be established at the time of this report. But in an August 18 post on Instagram, Santiago stated that she was “beyond grateful to be alive” after an SUV “crashed through the glass wall” at the restaurant, “shattering everything” while she and Blackwood “recorded an eating show.”
“It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived,” she also wrote alongside a photo of her with facial injuries. “This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could’ve been our last meal.”
Blackwood also took to Instagram to share photos of the injuries that he sustained from the incident. “Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose!” he wrote. “Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count.”
