Cristy West, the ex-girlfriend of Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward, has filed a civil lawsuit against him, alleging that he sexually and physically assaulted her while he was under the influence of crystal meth.
Per the New York Post, West, in the lawsuit, alleges that their 3-year-old was with them at the time of the assault. Ward, 34, and West were said to have been romantically involved for many years.
Ward, on June 12, was arrested on allegations that he choked West. He was charged with felony domestic violence in connection with that incident. He was, however, re-arrested two weeks ago for violating the terms of his bond after he failed an alcohol test.
Ward is said to have forcefully entered West’s home in the wee hours of June 12 and made his way to the bathroom. West, in the lawsuit, claims that Ward’s behavior was “erratic and aggressive.”
“On that night, she suspected he was under the influence of methamphetamines, specifically, crystal meth,” the lawsuit alleges.
The lawsuit also claims that Ward repeatedly told West that he was going to “f–king kill” her. He is said to have also slapped, choked, and “dragged” West “into a bedroom.”

Ward and West’s son became awake, and the plaintiff had to calm the minor down. The lawsuit alleges that West then gave Ward oral sex after he made a demand for it. She is said to have done that because she was worried her life was in danger.
Ward later accused West of being in contact with other men and started searching for her phone, per the lawsuit. That was when West, who was said to be “naked and visibly injured” at the time, fled the home with their son. Ward was ultimately arrested after she called 911, the New York Post reported.
The lawsuit also claims that on April 25, Ward, “under the pretense” of “giving” West “money for their son’s karate lessons,” lured her “to his Houston townhouse.”
West was then allegedly told by Ward to enter his home and make her way to his bedroom, and subsequently to the closet for the money. Ward is said to have gotten hold of West and tried to have her perform oral sex on him. But she “resisted, screamed, and managed to leave” the house.
Renowned lawyer Tony Buzbee is representing West, and she is seeking over $20 million in damages.
“We are aware of the Harris County civil lawsuit that was filed,” Ward’s attorney, Steve Jackson, told KPRC 2. “This is the same civil lawsuit that was filed against Mr. Ward by other attorneys who also previously tried and failed in a jury trial to prove that Jimmie was married to Ms. West. It is our intention at this time to focus on the criminal allegations and the upcoming grand jury hearing in hopes of this matter being dismissed.”
