E.T. Mensah

Emmanuel Tettey Mensah was born on May 31, 1919, in Accra, Ghana.

Not allowing lack of money to be a deterrent to his career, Mensah studied pharmacy and then opened up a drug store to finance his music career.

As the lead musician of the band, “The Tempos,” Mensah was regarded as the king of Highlife music.
