A genre that originated from the end of the disco era in the 1970s, R&B combines elements of several kinds of music.

With its distinctive style, backed with drum machine-backed rhythm and lush vocals, it became very popular through Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Craig David, Steve Wonder, and Whitney Houston.

Mostly born out of hurt, it remains one of a few genres that serves as the motivation whenever you’re in the love mood or going through hard times.
