Wiyala- Ghana

She is one of the only female African musicians who continue to do music Afrobeat style and her choice of music styles is paying off. Wiyala sometimes plays around with other styles of music but has always stayed true to her first calling.

With her strong voice and strength on stage, Wiyala first entered the scene in 2008 and quickly shot to fame for her unique sense of dressing and music. Singing in her local languages and English, she started singing with a band called Black and Peach, which won the Vodafone Icons reality contest in 2012.

She is popularly referred to as the modern-day Angelique Kidjo.
