The Bronx, New York-bred rapper was so moved while filming the video for his hit “Unforgettable” that he decided to leave a lasting mark with Ugandans.

Montana donated $100,000 to the Mama Hope Foundation, an organization in Uganda geared towards improving healthcare. The rapper also convinced rapper and producer Diddy and swooner The Weeknd to match his donation.

At an event in 2018 held to honor him, Montana said: “It feels beautiful to be a child of God, a citizen of the world and agent of change. I’m helping the people that need help, you know.”
