Tracey Rose (South African)

Born in 1974 in Durban, South Africa, Tracey Rose has cut her own niche in acting and photography, creating amazing works, which are mostly related to gender and color. She usually uses visual motifs of her own body to relay her messages. In 2001, Tracey was artist-in-residence in Cape Town at the South African National Gallery where she created her work for the Venice Biennale 2001 curated by Harald Szeemann.
