American rapper and actor 50 Cent, known in private life as Curtis James Jackson III, is facing a lawsuit from a photographer who alleges the rapper was involved in an assault against him.
The photographer, identified as Guadalupe De Los Santos, claims the 49-year-old artist directed someone in his entourage to swing open an SUV door, hitting him and causing injuries.
According to the lawsuit, the incident took place on September 11, following 50 Cent’s book signing event at The Grove in Los Angeles.

De Los Santos alleges that while riding his electric scooter near the event, he was filming 50 Cent’s vehicle when the SUV stopped at a red light. Suddenly, the car’s front passenger door swung open with force, striking him on his left side and knocking him off the scooter. The impact, he says, caused bodily injuries and rendered his scooter inoperable.
In the lawsuit, the photographer claims the door was intentionally opened to hit him and alleges that 50 Cent ordered the act. He states that his medical bills are mounting, and his injuries have caused him to miss work, resulting in lost income. He is seeking damages for the incident.
Attorney Gloria Allred, known for representing high-profile clients, is handling the case on behalf of De Los Santos. In response, 50 Cent shared an old photo of himself with Allred on social media, captioning it: “The moment I realized I don’t like lawyers, ???? Gloria, you should know better—chase a different ambulance.”
As of now, 50 Cent or his representatives have not officially responded to the lawsuit.
