Madagascar Pochard
The Madagascar Pochard is the world’s rarest duck. In late 2006, it was announced that this bird was last seen in 1991 and had been rediscovered by biologists. They are diving birds that probably feed on aquatic plants and invertebrates in shallow water. Males have a distinctive white iris.
