Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira recently appeared on ABC’s “The View” to talk about the success of Black Panther. In a question posed to them by one of the hosts (Sunny Hostin) about what it means to see African culture being celebrated in the movie, Lupita replied saying it was liberating, and then she gave a very touching breakdown of how Africa would have been if not for colonial interference (personally couldn’t agree more with her reply).
Take a look at the video and share with us your thoughts. Do you agree?
Lupita Nyongo speaking nothing but facts. When she spoke about what Africa would have looked like without colonialism, it gave me goosebumps. pic.twitter.com/oKzhsDZGda
