Doctors told Baby Landon’s mother and father that their newborn was not going to survive. The newborn has now been given the nickname “Baby Lazarus” after his miraculous recovery.
The doctor’s report shifted the mom and dad’s focus to their prayer warriors. The parents of now three-month-old Baby Landon say they sincerely believe God heard their prayers, even though the doctors did everything they could.

Tessa Davis, the child’s mother, remarked, “To hold this little boy—God is so good.”
It was Tessa Davis’ second pregnancy and according to her, the pregnancy was generally healthy. She was induced on January 16 to have her second son.
“And during that process, complications and so that’s when they decided I needed an emergency C-section and it took about seven minutes for them to deliver from saying it to him coming out,” Tessa Davis told WTVM.
Doctors reported that Landon was lifeless after birth. They administered CPR three times; it didn’t appear promising. Neonatologist Jerry Chen received an urgent request to report to the operation room.
Dr. Chen said, “The picture that was forming as Landon came into the world and as we stabilized him in the OR and in the unit it was one of devastation, and I told dad first and then I told mom that he likely wasn’t going to make it.”
Hearing that his son may not survive was heartbreaking, according to Vintrez Davis, Landon’s father, but he realized there was only one person who could change the situation.
“I called our pastor and he prayed for us and he began to speak life over our son, just encourage us to stay positive,” Vintrez Davis recounted. “And to think positive, and about five minutes after he prayed, that’s when Dr. Chen and his staff noticed that his heart rate began to increase.”

Even though Sandy Threadgill, a 20-year veteran nurse, has witnessed many difficult deliveries, this one was unique.
“As far as deliveries and being, you know, that far into a resuscitation and with no response and then seeing him come out the way he has, it warms your heart because you just know that that’s a miracle and God did have a hand in that,” Threadgill said.
