Will Smith
Willard Carroll Smith Jr. is an American actor, rapper and media personality. He made his acting debut on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, a sitcom which ran from 1990 to 1996. Since then, he has played the lead character in over 20 widely successful film projects, one of which is the Men in Black franchise.
Adapted from The Men in Black comic book series, the film stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as two agents of a secret organization who regulate the activities of extraterrestrial lifeforms on Earth and keep their existence a secret from ordinary people.
Agent J, the character played by Smith, was originally created white in the comics. During the casting, the huge popularity of Smith around the time made it an easy decision. The film went on to gross over USD500 million worldwide against a budget of USD90 million, making it one of the most successful films of the time.
