Muammar al-Gaddafi

The revolutionary and politician served as leader of Libya from September 1, 1969, to October 20, 2011.

Some of his constituents accused the leader of being a dictator and leading with a cult of personality.

On October 11, 2011, Muammar al-Gaddafi was taken down by Libyan rebels and United States NATO forces shot down weaponry to a convoy that included Gaddafi’s vehicle.
