There was divided opinion on social media after a video emerged of bouncers at a popular bar in New York City reportedly refusing Rihanna and her new flame A$AP Rocky entry into the establishment.
The couple were said to be out on a date night in “The Big Apple” on Wednesday and decided to hang out at Barcade, Paper Mag reported. However, security at the entrance informed the love birds they could not allow them in because the Work singer reportedly did not have an ID on her. And despite their fame and popularity, it appeared the bouncers were not ready to give them a pass.
In the video of the hold-up that was recorded by a bystander, the Bajan sensation and the Harlem rapper can be seen having a conversation with one of the bouncers outside the bar. Later in the video, a female patron is heard teasing the couple saying, “I don’t know who you are.” Another person also jokingly asks A$AP Rocky, “You don’t got none of your business cards on you, boy?”
Despite the brief “setback”, the couple were later allowed entry into the establishment where they played some vintage video games, XXL reported.
Though the love birds have been mum about their relationship, the F**kin’ Problems rapper recently revealed the Umbrella singer is the love of his life. Asked how dating the Fenty founder feels like, he told GQ: “So much better. So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
