Bamenda, Cameroon (Face2faceafrica)-The University of Bamenda; Uba, which is located in the locality of Bambili, North West Region of the West and Central Africa Country of the Republic of Cameroon, at the weekend, graduated her 4th batch of students since its establishment in 2010 through a decree of the president of the republic PAUL BIYA.
The very colorful academic event which took place on the open amphil theater of the university campus witnessed the award of Diplomas and Bachelor Degrees to about 3500 trainee teachers from the Higher Teachers’ Training College; HTTC and the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College; HTTTC of the institution.

In a keynote address, the Vice Chancellor of Uba, Prof. Tafa Edocat, stressed on the necessity for the young teachers to be loyal by serving the republic in whatever locality they will be assigned for their service.
Speaking earlier, the representative of Cameroon’s Minister of Higher Education at the convocation ceremony, Prof. Dominique Mvogo, urged the graduating teachers to uphold positive professional values as a solid foundation for recording success in the discharge of their very noble but still, very important duty of molding Cameroon’s future leaders.
The former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, the Right Rev Dr. Nyansako Ni Ku, while presenting an academic discourse at the event, enjoined the graduating teachers to pursue the truth both in the library and in the laboratory. He went further to encourage the grandaunts to dismiss fear, superstition and trust in God in the accomplishment of their task.
Prizes were awarded to outstanding students in different academic disciplines and the best all round student; Miss Ruth Mbarika with a GPA of 3.7 on a scale of 4.
