If you’re plus size and looking for a new swimwear collection, then say no more. GabiFresh has got you covered!
The model and fashion influencer, in collaboration with swimwear brand Swimsuits for All, launched the Cruise 2020 swim collection Tuesday. The collection features colorful and eye-catching animal-print inspired one-pieces as well as bikinis.
“I’ve always been really drawn to animal print, but more this season than ever,” she told InStyle. “So, I decided to make that the theme of this collection. I love classic leopard but wanted to expand on that by also designing cheetah, croc, and snakeskin suits.”
“From there, I wanted to add punches of color that really popped against the animal prints, finishing with details like oversized hardware and faux leather trim to make each suit special,” she added.
The beautiful and desert-themed road trip campaign for the collection features GabiFresh, Veronica Pome’e, the first Polynesian swimsuit model to be featured in Sports Illustrated as well as the late Mama Cax.
The amputee model and activist passed away last December at the age of 30 after a weeklong illness on a trip to London, Face2Face Africa reported.
Born Cacsmy Brutus, Mama Cax, who lost her right leg when she was a teenager through bone and lung cancer, was an influential advocate for women living with disabilities.
“I feel eternally grateful that I got to work with [Mama Cax],” GabiFresh told InStyle. “She was so inspiring to me before we met, and even more so after. She was such a positive energy on set, and I am so, so glad that I got to share that day with her. I hope that these campaign images, like all of her other work, inspire women worldwide.”
