F2FA December 19, 2014

Enza NYC Pilot

This Friday, New York City’s most brilliant young minds will come together to design solutions to our nation’s most pressing challenges.

Enza Academy, an innovation and leadership institute for high school students of color, will be launching its empowerment pilot on December 19th through December 21st at Columbia University, Teacher’s College. The Enza Academy empowerment has invited fifty (50) promising high school innovators of color to learn skills in design, coding, and business development. The inspiring event will challenge and equip youth to solve problems in their communities and to design their own revolution.

Students will be empowered through our identity building curriculum along with introductory workshops to programming, 3D printing, design and product and business development. Students will collaborate in teams under the mentorship of expert volunteers to discover original problems in which they will design detailed plans for resolution. Once they accomplish this, they’ll get a chance to form teams and build a website or an app to create awareness for their cause. Students will walk away with skills in entrepreneurship, innovation, coding, pitching and website, business and app development. On the final day, teams will present their concepts to a panel of judges.

This will be an inspiring event and will be an unforgettable experience for all people involved. Enza Academy is proud to have this opportunity.

We kindly ask you for your attendance at the event. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions, feel free to reach out at info@enzaacademy.org . To register or learn more, please visit www.enzaacademy.org/nycpilot.
