Fatman Scoop: Legendary Hypeman And Radio Host Dies After Collapsing On Stage

Born Isaac Freeman III, the American rapper Fatman Scoop passed away on Friday night after unexpectedly collapsing on stage at a performance in Hamden, Connecticut. 

His hit “Be Faithful,” which topped the charts two decades ago, is one of Batman’s most famous tracks. 

His booming voice and exuberant stage presence made him a legendary hip-hop hypeman, radio host, and charismatic rapper. 

He became a well-liked personality in the music industry thanks to his contagious enthusiasm and distinctive call-and-response technique, which was noted for providing unmatched excitement to any occasion.

One time, Fatman used a rendition of Faith Evans’ 1998 hit song “Love Like This” to energize a crowd. 

Afterward, the song turned into a global hit, ruling dance floors and club scenes across the globe and even reaching the top of the UK Singles Chart.

Beyond “Be Faithful,” Fatman Scoop established a successful career for himself as a radio hypeman and vocalist.

He worked with various well-known figures in the music business, contributing his vocals to songs by Busta Rhymes, Mariah Carey, and Missy Elliott. 

His work with Mariah, especially on the remix of her popular song “It’s Like That,” demonstrated his ability to uplift a song’s intensity, which established him as a go-to musician for unforgettable party songs.

In addition, Fatman Scoop left his imprint as a radio host, enthralling listeners with his audacious demeanor and extensive hip-hop expertise. 

He maintained a global fan base and strengthened his position in the music industry by hosting a popular radio program.

In addition, Fatman Scoop was a father to two kids. He had a boy in a December 2018 post, and he had a daughter named Tiana before her junior prom.

Besides that, Fatman Scoop was a father of two children. He had a daughter named Tiana prior to his junior prom, and in December 2018, he shared a photo of his son. 

The cause of his death is still unclear. He was 53.

However, his family confirmed his death in a statement shared to social media on Aug. 31.
