Alloco (Ivory Coast)
Alloco is one of the most popular African cuisines not just in Ivory Coast but also in other neighboring West African countries. Other than being tasty, this Ivorian dish is also quite easy to prepare. What’s more, it’s perfect for different occasions. Pop into any restaurant in Ivory Coast and you will be welcomed with a plate full of Alloco. The dish consists of basic foodstuffs like a few ripe bananas, palm oil and table salt. The ripe bananas are chopped into small pieces and then fried in oil. You can add a few spices to make it even tastier.
