We are all for inclusion that challenges stereotypes and Versace is all for that as well. At the Milan Fashion Week, the designer for the first time featured three plus-size models on its catwalk for The Versace Spring 2021 show.

The curvy trio — Precious Lee, Jill Kortleve, and Alva Claire — were a sight to behold as they strutted their stuff clad in bright and colorful pieces from the collection. They were in crop-tops, iconic printed dresses, and platform heels that fit into the collection’s theme.

For her spring 2021 collection, Donatella Versace went a seashore vibe; bold and colorful prints, with seashells, seahorses and lovely silhouettes which will be every beach lover’s ideal outfit in spring.

According to Bustle, the pieces were inspired by Gianni Versace’s Spring 1992 Trésor de la Mer collection and her own Spring 2018 tribute show that honored the memory of her late brother.

All three girls took to their social media handles to relish in this iconic feat that challenges the world’s view of what girls who appear in high fashion magazines must look like.

Claire, who has walked the runway for design houses such as Collina Strada, Nike, and Savage x Fenty, drooled in the iconic moment and wrote: “I am so proud of Precious Lee, Jill Kortleve, and myself we made history with this and I will never forget how I feel right now!” adding “This moment is for all of us!!! I’m full of love!!”

Lee was all about the significance of this moment for her. She has had stints with Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Siriano, and the like.

“I will never forget this moment and how I felt before walking out. The power of and beauty of this brand has ALWAYS inspired me & now to be the first…wow.”

For Kortleve, the future generation will always have this historic moment to look on.

“This is such a historical moment and I can’t believe it actually happened,” adding, “It’s so unbelievable to work for brands I always dreamt of working for. I hope that we open the doors for a new generation with the same dreams but who never saw themselves in the magazines or commercials.”

Kortleve has been busy this fashion week season walking for Etro and Fendi. She has worked with hit designers such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Valentino, and more in the past as well.
