Godfrey Magila says growing up as an orphan was tough and lonely. His parents died when he was 6 years old, so he had to live with his aunt and uncle who also died in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Still, Magila taught himself how to code and went on to win $200 at a country hackathon. In 2012, 25-year-old Magila founded Magilatech, a software development and security auditing company. He also owns Tigobackup, a mobile security application performing full content backup on mobile devices and anti-theft commands. Magilatech currently has 21 employees — 14 permanent and seven on contract.
