Somali-American actor Barkhad Abdi made his debut in the 2013 film “Captain Phillip,” where he received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture” for his excellent performance as ship hijacker and pirate leader Abduwali Muse.
