Nigerian actor David Oyelowo received his very first Golden Globe nomination in 2015 for his performance in the highly acclaimed film “Selma,” where he played the role of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He went on to receive another nomination in 2016 for his performance in the mini-series “Knightingale.”
