Hey, beautiful people! It’s been a while, fall is upon many of us and N.Y. Fashion Week is finally over. If any of you have been following me, you’ll notice the last few weeks I’ve been working with our lovely men. As a celebrity make-up artist, I work with an array of clients, including males. It’s a common assumption that men, in general, are unconcerned about their hair and skin care, but that’s not always true.  And since men should be groomed on a daily basis, today, I want to go over a few tips for the men.

As a beauty expert, I am quite impressed to know that men have daily regimens for maintaining great skin. Here are a few tips we can all share with the men.

African black soap

Cleansing

Face: Ordinary store-bought soaps can be too harsh or dry out your skin. African Black Soap is a gentle, all-natural alternative cleanser made only from plant materials.

Body: It’s important to choose a body cleanser that has some moisturizing properties like Dove Men +Care, which has several options to choose from.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter for men
Moisturizing

There are tons of moisturizers out there, but it’s best to experiment with different products to see what works the best for you. I like using Palmer’s Men Cocoa Butter Formula; it’s has a light scent and is non-greasy.

Trimmers

A lot of guys select their trimmers by the brand, price, and quality. When I asked several guys what brand of trimmers was their favorite, Phillips electric trimmer was the winner. Trimmers are good for nose hair, beards, and line ups.

Ricky's

Speaking of beards, I’ve discovered a great product: beard oil!  Yes, who knew? But Ricky’s NYC sells a great line of beard oil, including the one pictured below, which moisturizes the beard, adds light sheen, and ladies, did I mention it has a great smell? Love it!

In addition to all of the tips I shared, nothing can take the place of H2O.  Be sure to drink 6 to 8 drinking water(8oz) glasses of water. Lastly, make sure to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep per night.

OK, fellas, I finally took time out to cater to you!  Ladies, please join me next week when we talk about what most of you fret or struggle with: false eyelashes!
