Skin experts are advocating for the use of organic beauty products. In the age of supporting Black-owned businesses, some African beauty brands are carving a niche for themselves.

These products are made by Africans with melanated humans in mind because there was a time when people with darker hues were not factored in the global beauty industry. Things are changing, with brands like Fenty Beauty and Pat McGrath Labs raking in six figures.

African beauty entrepreneurs may not be on their level yet, but they are on the right path, making sure to incorporate the most natural and organic products grown on the continent to make their beauty products.

Also, many consumers who were initially skeptical about purchasing made in Africa beauty products are now drawn to these local brands which are gradually boosting the African health and beauty industry.
