Democrats on the House Oversight Committee on Monday released a sexually suggestive letter allegedly signed by President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, a claim Trump continues to deny.
The letter appeared in a 50th birthday album compiled in 2003 for Epstein, a wealthy financier once connected to Trump. Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges that he sexually abused and trafficked dozens of underage girls.
Trump has consistently denied writing the letter or creating the accompanying drawing of a curvaceous woman. He filed a $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal for its earlier reporting linking him to the letter.
“As I have said all along, it’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement posted on X. “President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively pursue litigation.”

White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich posted images on X showing Trump’s signature over the years, asserting, “it’s not his signature.”
The release of the drawing and letter comes as Trump faces increasing scrutiny over his past ties to Epstein and Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein was accused of paying underage girls for massages and sexually abusing them, while Maxwell was convicted of recruiting teenage girls to be exploited.
Trump has said his friendship with Epstein ended two decades ago after a falling-out. He claimed he severed ties because Epstein “stole” young women, including Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most well-known accusers, who worked at the spa at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
The case against Epstein followed more than a decade after he struck a secret deal with federal prosecutors in Florida to resolve similar allegations. During his presidential campaign, Trump suggested he would push for government files on Epstein to be opened, though much of the released information had already been publicly reported.
Democrats on the Oversight Committee received the birthday album Monday as part of a batch of documents from Epstein’s estate, according to AP’s report. Trump again denied any involvement, calling the Wall Street Journal report “false, malicious, and defamatory.”
“These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures,” Trump said.
The letter, which mirrors the description in The Wall Street Journal, features text enclosed within a hand-drawn outline of a curvaceous woman.

“A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” the letter reads.

The disclosure comes amid bipartisan calls in Congress for the release of the so-called Epstein files, fueled by years of speculation and conspiracy theories. Republican voices, including Vice President JD Vance before he took office, have also urged the records’ release.
In August, the Justice Department began providing documents from the Epstein sex trafficking investigation to the House Oversight Committee. Last month, the committee subpoenaed Epstein’s estate for a broader set of records, including his last will and testament, agreements with prosecutors, contact books, and financial holdings, in addition to the birthday album.
