It’s quite obvious and rather unfortunate some women, on a daily basis, are subjected to sexual harassment and sexual advances by some men who cannot take no for an answer and keep their hands to themselves.

In an effort to mitigate this, the #MeToo hashtag movement was initiated to raise awareness of sexual harassment and sexual abuse and it instantly became a global movement.

Just a couple of weeks ago in Nigeria, some women stormed the Yaba market in Lagos to protest sexual harassment and catcalling by male traders.

The protest turned out to be effective as some women shared on social media how the male traders are now restraining from touching them.
