Mopane Worms

Don’t be deceived by the name. Mopane worms are actually caterpillar species of empire moth known as Gonimbrasia belina. A favourite snack and delicacy in Zimbabwe, Botswana and other parts of Southern Africa, fried mopane worms can be eaten raw or mixed with a sauce and served with pap or sadza.
