According to local reports, Botswana crime rates have been increasing over the years, with 2017 being one of the tumultuous years.
Some crimes reported in 2017 included illicit drugs, love killings, road accidents, wildlife poaching and human trafficking.
Although the Botswana police were ranked the best on the continent in 2017, there are still concerns over police brutality in the country.
Botswana scored 61 points on the law and order list.
