Drake’s ongoing legal battle with Universal Music Group (UMG) over copyright practices has sparked reactions from top streamers like Kai Cenat and NoLifeShaq, who were named in the lawsuit.

The case revolves around Drake’s accusation that UMG removed copyright restrictions on his song ‘Not Like Us,’ allowing YouTube and Twitch content creators to republish and react freely. The lawsuit claims UMG’s actions were outside its standard policies, enabling creators to profit from reaction videos without facing copyright claims.

Streamers named in the suit include Kai Cenat, NoLifeShaq, CartierFamily, Zias!, and RDC Gaming. Drake’s legal team argues that these reactions, which garnered millions of views, promoted what they describe as a “defamatory” track, causing damage to Drake’s reputation.

Kai Cenat, one of the biggest names in streaming, learned of his inclusion in the lawsuit during a live broadcast. Initially shocked and confused, Cenat expressed disbelief before realizing he was not being sued directly. While relieved, he didn’t hold back from boasting about the significant revenue his reaction video generated, emphasizing the 9 million views it attracted.

NoLifeShaq, another popular creator in the filing, took to YouTube to address the situation. In a video titled ‘Ain’t No Way Drake Snitching on Me,’ he criticized the rapper, calling the lawsuit a weak move in the context of hip-hop. The content creator hinted at the absurdity of being dragged into the legal drama over a reaction video.
