Reports coming out of Ghana suggest Kanye West has arrived in the West African nation. If true, Kanye – who now goes by the name Ye – joins other celebrities like Dave Chappelle who have touched down in the West African nation for the holiday season and Chance The Rapper’s inaugural Black Star Line Festival. Though it is yet to be confirmed if the 45-year-old rapper and fashion designer will be performing at this weekend’s concert, Ghanaian broadcaster Ebenezer Donkor tweeted on Thursday that Kanye had been billed as the surprise act, GhanaWeb reported.

“I’m gathering info that Kanye West will be the surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival in Ghana this weekend,” he reportedly tweeted.

Unconfirmed sources also say that Ye was spotted with team at at pre-party in Ghana yesterday.

The news of the College Dropout rapper possibly performing at the festival garnered a lot of reaction on social media with his fans and music lovers saying they hope it’s true.

Founded by rappers Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper, the Black Star Line Festival of Pan-African Art is a “week-long series of events including panel discussions, fine art exhibitions and nightlife events culminating in a large scale concert at Black Star Square in Accra.”

The festival organizers also add that the event will feature “artists, intellectuals and influential individuals from around the world for an international celebration of global Blackness.”

Artists including Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Jeremih, Sarkodie, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys and M.anifest have also been billed to perform at the free concert. Dave Chappelle is also scheduled to have a discussion with Chance the Rapper at the University of Ghana campus on Sunday.
