Marlon Wayans and 50 Cent went back-and-forth on social media over a warning the former gave to the rapper-turned-television producer for his involvement in the Sean “Diddy” Combs docuseries.

Now that their feud has seemingly died down, Wayans, 53, stated that he’s interested in working with 50 Cent, 50.

The Scary Movie star touched on their beef and his interest in working with 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, on Sunday’s episode of the We in Miami Podcast, Complex reported.

Wayans stated that being a “workaholic” enables him to steer clear of “doing stupid stuff.” “You ain’t never gonna read, ‘Marlon did dumb shit,’ aside beefing with 50 Cent,” he added.

“It was very quick for me,” Wayans also said about his feud with 50 Cent. “I was having a cigar and I was thinking about it. I was just like, ‘What example do I want? Is this an example of two black men with two businesses, fighting in public?’ It’s not good for my culture. That’s not the culture I wanna be an example of. I wanna build businesses. I [don’t] wanna burn them down,” he added.

Wayans further stated that he was willing to “gratefully [and] gracefully lose a battle in order to win the overall world.” He also emphasized that the things that Black people and other minorities have to handle are already many, Complex reported.

Wayans described his feud with 50 Cent as “just two n****s on the block,” adding that there was “never beef like that.”

“The bigger picture is, we’re two successful businessmen,” Wayans continued. “Bro, why are we beefing? … The whole way I got into it was because I was trying to stop two black men from going at it, right? You get caught up in the fight.”

Wayans then expressed his interest in working with 50 Cent after he was asked if he would do so if the Many Men rapper contacted him.

“I’m already thinking about putting him in my next movie,” Wayans said. “I got some action stuff I’m doing. I think he could be an incredible star. It’d be a great combination. I think it’d be fun to see us together.”

“A buddy action comedy with me and this n***a,” he added. “That’s how you tee it up, use it as a springboard to capitalize on something, man, and that’s what people wanna see.”

The pair’s feud started after Wayans weighed in on the Diddy docuseries during an interview on Real 92.3 FM and warned 50 Cent to be wary of his actions.

“50 and Puff have a long-term beef. It’s personal,” Wayans said at the time, per Complex. “It’s between him and Puff. And before it’s between him and Puff, it’s between both of them and God.”

The White Chicks star added: “Just the way Puff is down on his luck and 50 is kicking a man when he’s down. If…luck turn on 50, you know that you got to be careful what you put out. There’s a karma to every action that you do.”

Despite the warning from Wayans, 50 Cent was seemingly having none of that, as the rapper-turned-television-producer fired back at the 53-year-old in a post on Instagram. The back-and-forth between the pair on social media subsequently started, though it has since simmered.
