David Ruffin was one of the abusive men Tammi Terrell fell in love with. He was not only abusive to her but also seemed like a man without much regard for his co-singers in the group, The Temptations.
Ruffin was a cocaine and alcohol addict. He was kicked out from Temptations and lived the rest of his life struggling to regain the prominence he once had.
In 1991, he was found dead overdosed on crack. He was 50.
