Khalifa Ababacar Diop (Senegal)

Position: Center

Height: 2.11m

Kalifa was born on January 15, 2002, in Guereo, Senegal. He started his career by training in the junior team of CB Gran Canaria in Spain. He made his professional career debut for the Gran Canaria senior team in March 2019 in the Euro League, and made his Liga ACB debut on November 24, 2019. He declared for the 2022 NBA draft and was the 39th overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Diop is presently in Gran Canaria and not part of the Cleveland Cavaliers team for the 2022/23 NBA Season. He helped Senegal clinch a Silver Medal at the 2018 FIBA U18 African Championship in Egypt and represented Senegal in the 2021 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia. He is amongst the players selected for the Senegal senior team for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers.
