Meet the three African winners of Swizz Beatz's $100,000 art grant

Ayobola Kekere-Ekun

Kekere-Ekun is an artist from Nigeria currently based in South Africa, where she is pursuing a PhD in Art and Design at the University of Johannesburg.

Her works explore gender, mythology, power and the human condition and are inspired by observation and personal experiences.  She uses quilling as a technique to show the interplay of time and space and power structures in the society.
