Female rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj are currently not on good terms. And though that is well known, Megan, in a recent interview with Billboard, revealed she doesn’t even know the cause of their beef.

The two rappers became a topic of discussion at the beginning of the year after they traded jabs in singles they released. Megan, 29, kicked things off with her number 1 hit single Hiss, with Nicki Minaj, 41, responding with Big Foot

Their feud ultimately became the first of many beefs involving rappers in 2024. But the Savage rapper admitted she doesn’t know the head and tail of their beef. She also touched on whether there could be a reconciliation or a collaboration between them. Megan and Nicki previously collaborated on the 29-year-old’s Hot Girl Summer single.

“I still to this day don’t know what the problem is,” Megan, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, admitted. “I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is.”

Asked if her Hiss single set the tone for competitive rapping this year, the 29-year-old replied, “I would like to think that I start things. I don’t know; I just knew what I had to do and what I had to say. If it opened up the door for everyone else to get s–t off their chest, well, I’m glad.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Megan also spoke about her relevance in the rap industry, stating that she must be doing something right for someone to aim at her.

“I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing,” she said. “If people feel like I’m somebody to aim at, then I must be pretty high up if you’re reaching up at me. I must be some kind of competition. That makes me feel good. That makes me feel like I could rap because if I wasn’t the s–t, y’all wouldn’t be worried about me.”

Outside music, Megan touched on politics and reiterated her support for Kamala Harris. “To be alive in a lifetime where a Black woman or a woman at all could be the president, I feel so blessed. This is what the future is about,” she told Billboard.

“We really about to get a strong, Black female in there. I feel like America needed a woman to come in here and put a woman’s touch on it. It’s been going a little crazy lately, and we need somebody to put their foot down. I feel like Kamala, she gon’ do that.”

Megan also registered her displeasure with hearing people say they’re not going to vote and urged those who are eligible to exercise their franchise.

“I don’t like it when I see people saying, ‘I’m not voting. F–k it.’ What the f–k are you talking about? You’re going to complain about what you don’t like but you’re not going to help the cause?” she questioned.

“I think that’s very irresponsible because if you don’t like what Trump has going on, why even aid in him being the president again?”
