MTV Africa Music Awards to Rock South Africa This June

The MTV Africa Music Awards are finally back after a three year hiatus! The award show is set for Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Durban International Convention Centre.

Africa’s biggest music artists will perform and be honored during the live show that will be broadcasted on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and MTV (DStv Channel 130) at 21:00.

The celebration will also honor some of Africa’s biggest personalities:  Chimamanda Adiche, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Trevor Noah, Lupita Nyong’o and Yaya Toure are up for Personality of the year category.

All performers have not been released, but Davido of Nigeria and Mafikizolo have been confirmed.
