O.J. Simpson’s legacy is taking an unexpected twist – not in headlines, but as jewelry. According to his longtime lawyer and estate executor, Simpson’s remains have been turned into cremation jewelry.
TMZ reports that Simpson’s ashes were crafted into jewelry and shared among his four adult children. After his death in April, Simpson was cremated, and his children agreed to have his ashes turned into jewelry.
As executor, Malcolm LaVergne indicated that he approved the process.
While he didn’t specify the exact pieces, it’s common for such jewelry to include necklaces or bracelets with urn pendants holding the ashes.
According to LaVergne, he opted out of receiving any cremation jewelry, leaving it all to Simpson’s four children: Arnelle, Jason, Sydney, and Justin.
The entire process, including cremation, jewelry, and death certificates, came to a total of $4,243.06.
LaVergne noted that he is still working to liquidate most of Simpson’s assets to tackle his massive debts, which include tens of millions still owed to the Goldman family.
