Police have revealed that on Monday, a clumsy NYC robber opened fire inside a Brooklyn post office after he poked his gun into a terrified customer, leaving tellers to run towards safety.

The NYC robber stormed into the USPS’ Midwood branch on Coney Island Avenue near Avenue I around 1:15 p.m., said police.

However, he left without a single penny and may have tried to rob another spot less than half an hour later.

Sources said the NYC gunman had demanded cash from the post office tellers and pushed his firearm against the back of the only customer in the place — a woman, 37, who he may have also placed in a headlock.

During the frightening ordeal, the woman screamed loudly, said a witness to WABC.

Reports indicate that the tellers ran off and the furious gunman fired shots at the door before he gave up and fled.

Police said that no one was reported injured, and investigators are probing whether the same suspect also tried but failed to rob a Pay-O-Matic on Utica Avenue near Glenwood Road in East Flatbush nearly 20 minutes later.

According to The Post, the suspect in that attempted robbery crashed his moped near the scene and was taken into custody.

His charges are still pending, and he was not immediately identified.

Republican Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa slammed the daytime violence as he spoke against Mayor Eric Adams’ administration.

“People should absolutely feel safe inside a United States Post Office or anywhere in this city,” Sliwa said in a statement. “The current administration has set a dangerous tone by tolerating lawlessness, and as Mayor, I’ll restore order and protect every New Yorker in every neighborhood.”
