Ol’ Dirty Bastard…Everynight/Alamy

Ol’ Dirty Bastard

Ol’ Dirty Bastard or ODB was born Russell Tyrone Jones in Brooklyn, NY on November 15, 1968.

ODB was an eclectic figure who rapped in a boisterous manner and didn’t mind revealing all areas of his life – including him admitting to being on welfare and collecting food stamps despite being a renowned rapper.

His recreational use of drugs cost him his life; he died after collapsing on November 13, 2004. The cause of death was a lethal combination of Tramadol and cocaine.
