A sports reporter, Jake Gadon of KOVR (Sacramento’s CBS affiliate), was caught off guard during a live broadcast when an image of Rihanna in red lingerie from her Savage X Fenty line appeared on his computer screen.
The on-air slip, featuring the singer’s Instagram post, quickly gained attention on social media.
What was meant to be a routine sports update on the Raiders firing head coach Antonio Pierce after a disappointing 4-13 season rather threw Gadon into an accidental spotlight.
The image of Rihanna was part of a promotion of her new Valentine’s Day Loveline lingerie collection, as reported by the New York Post.
Needless to say, Rihanna had nothing to do with the Raiders’ coaching shake-up—but she certainly dominated the headlines anyway.
Gadon, who was delivering a segment for KMAX, KOVR’s sister station, has not yet commented on the on-air slip.
The image appeared to be from his open Instagram feed, and the incident quickly became a source of amusement across the internet.
“What, uh, what kind of sports research were you doing there, buddy?” one person wrote.
“Are there no internet restrictions at the CBS Sacramento offices?” another added.
