Rapper The Game is turning compassion into action amid the devastating L.A. wildfires. Sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, The Game—born Jayceon Terrell Taylor—revealed he’s been on the front lines, providing essentials to exhausted firefighters and rescuing lost and abandoned pets.

“We came out here this morning with blankets, pillows, coffee, bananas, water — just anything we can, you know, bring to help these firemen out here on the wake-up, man,” said The Game, 45, while looking directly into the camera. “They’re doing big, amazing things here.”

The Game, known for his hit “California Vacation,” shared that he and his team were heading to fire-stricken Altadena to rescue animals and safely deliver them to a local shelter, as reported by PEOPLE.

“Then we’re gonna hit the other side of town and probably pull up on a few of the homies doing work over there,” he added.

“It’s just a time where everybody needs everybody, you know?” he continued.

“It’s like one of those times in America where everybody just needs to hone in on what’s going on here and do anything that you can to help,” he concluded, before sharing that he would also be posting ways for people outside of L.A. to help those affected by the disaster.

In the post’s caption, the Compton native wrote that rescue workers “keep thanking me for being here,” adding that “in my mind I’m like, ‘No, THANK YOU!!!’ “

“I am here for Los Angeles & I will always be here to do my part,” he said.

The Game joins a growing list of celebrities rallying to support communities devastated by the L.A. wildfires.

Jennifer Garner was seen serving meals to firefighters, while Halle Berry pledged to donate her entire wardrobe and is partnering with Sharon Stone to provide essentials to those who’ve lost everything.

Since the fires erupted on January 7, over 10,000 properties have been destroyed, forcing more than 105,000 evacuations and resulting in 24 reported deaths, according to CNN and the L.A. County Medical Examiner.
