Dian Fossey’s Tomb

Located in the mountains of Virunga, American zoologist Dian Fossey was killed by poachers who were reportedly opposed to her call to end the illegal hunting of gorillas for commercial purposes. Her tomb is a popular tourist site and a perfect entry point for tourists looking to enjoy real gorilla viewing safari in Rwanda. The site was established in 1985 at the place where Fossey was found brutally murdered.
