American rapper Sexyy Red has been slapped with a $5 million lawsuit for allegedly asking her fans on social media to attack her child’s paternal grandmother Nicole Barnes.
Court documents obtained by Page Six indicate the lawsuit was filed on Monday, and it states that the “U My Everything” rapper originally known as Janae Wherry allegedly asked social media users to “kick in the door” of Barnes’ home and “conduct acts of violence” against her.
Barnes claimed in the suit that she found out that Sexyy Red had allegedly shared her address and a picture of her home on Facebook in December 2024.

The suit further claims that the rapper allegedly asked people to physically assault Barnes, and that was one of the major reasons for her decision.
“Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client,” Barnes’ attorney, Steven Weaver, said to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Tuesday.
“We did try to informally resolve it, and her attorneys thought it was a joke. And now they’re finding out it’s not,” he added.
Weaver revealed that at the time of Red’s alleged post, his client filed a police report and had to leave Hazelwood for safety reasons.

Barnes alleged in the suit that she’s not been able to find a new home at a comparable price and is now living in constant fear, resorting to therapy for her emotional distress.
She requested a $5 million judgment in damages from the court and is hoping something is done to reverse the situation.
The “SkeeYee” emcee is a mother of two as she has a son born in 2020, and a daughter, born in February 2024.
According to reports, there is very little information known about the fathers of her children.
Sexyy Red rose to fame with her 2023 hit single, Pound Town, which led to the remixed sequel Pound Town 2 featuring Nicki Minaj.
She has also collaborated with the likes of Drake, Bruno Mars, DaBaby, and Tyler, the Creator on various tracks.
