Goat oil

The woman of Lolupe village in Turkana county in Kenya has turned to goat oil to stop unwanted pregnancies and space out their births.

Cultural and religious pressure has caused the women to conjure creative ways to use birth control without chastisement and disapproval of their husbands.

Goat oil is used in the community for cooking, cosmetic purposes and other practical reasons.

So the use of the oil is seen as commonplace and isn’t suspicious.
