One of the sons of the former president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, has passed on.

Vusi Nhlakanipho Zuma died late Sunday evening in a hospital in South Africa. He was 25 years old.

According to South African news outlets, Vusi died of a short illness after being admitted at the Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.

The Zuma family indicated that a representative will provide further details in due course.

Vusi is one of the five children of Zuma and his third wife Kate Mantsho. He has been away from the limelight unlike his brothers Duduzane and Duduzile. Their mother committed suicide in 2000 after 24 years of marriage to the former president.
