The Weeknd continues to dominate music streaming on Spotify, setting a new record on the platform by breaking his own previous milestone.
He has now amassed nearly 120.5 million monthly listeners, surpassing Taylor Swift, who is reportedly the only other artist with over 100 million monthly listeners.
In February 2023, the 34-year-old singer and songwriter became the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners, and he has consistently held the record in nearly every month since.
Additionally, The Weeknd’s song “After Hours” recently joined Spotify‘s Billions Club, which includes songs that have been streamed over 1 billion times. This marks his 18th song to hit the 1 billion streams mark, more than any other artist.

The Weeknd also holds the distinction of having the most-streamed song in Spotify history with “Blinding Lights,” which was released in 2020 and currently sits at the top of the all-time streaming list.
In other news, two of his recent shows in Australia were sold out, with more performances scheduled for next weekend.
According to TMZ sources, The Weeknd will spend the next week in Sydney, where he is focused on delivering an exceptional show.
At the moment, he’s concentrating on performing and promoting his existing music, with no immediate plans to release new material.
