Colin was just announced as the 2018 Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience Award. The former San Francisco 49ers star was handed the award for his exceptional courage and activism.

“The Ambassador of Conscience award celebrates the spirit of activism and exceptional courage, as embodied by Colin Kaepernick. He is an athlete who is now widely recognised for his activism because of his refusal to ignore or accept racial discrimination,” said Salil Shetty, Secretary General of Amnesty International.

He has also received the 2017 Eason Monroe Courageous award and the 2017 Muhammad Ali Legacy Award for his commitment to social justice.
