M.anifest

Born Kwame Ametepe Tsikata on November 20, 1982, M.anifest is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter.

A grandson of Africa’s foremost ethnomusicogists and composers J.H. Kwabena Nketia, M.anifest in 2012 was tipped by BBC’s arts program—The Strand—as one of four acts to look out for. 

His single “someway bi” earned him a third-place honor in the International Songwriters Competition in 2015. The Guardian named him the foremost rapper on the continent that same year. 

The son of a renowned lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata and Ghanaian politician with the opposition National Democratic Congress, M.anifest was adjudged the best artiste in African Hip Hop at the 2018 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
